An Introduction

sfcolleges.co.uk was launched on A-Level results day, August 20th 2009, as a one stop shop website for information relating to Sixth Form Colleges in the UK education sector.

The principle behind the portal is to provide potential students with a guide to colleges in their area and to encourage participation in education.

The site has been designed, edited and written by professionals currently working in sixth form colleges; from marketing professionals specialising in internet systems to sixth form tutors.

As the weeks pass we hope to add much more content to the website from study hints and tips for students, extensive links, student newsletters and offers and competitions as we build partnerships with other organisations.

We understand that the nature of "Internet Marketing" within sixth form colleges is a rapidly emerging technology and as such is often misunderstood or ignored. However with students increasingly using the internet to find out about potential places to study, the world wide web should be considered just as, if not more important as traditional methods of marketing.

We hope to gain large scale support from the colleges themselves in order to populate their own sections of the website and give visitors and potential students the most comprehensive guide to studying at their sixth form.

Advertising Packages

Basic Listing – FREE
• Sixth Form College name and address (only) listed on our portal.

Advanced Listing – £99 per calendar year
• As above but with telephone and fax numbers, email address, logo and extensive hotlinking back to your own website included.
• College logo used on every page on the site on the right hand column under "Featured Listing". When clicked will display your mini site on the portal.
• A commitment to use latest news releases on the website homepage and link them in under "Latest News" on the portal.
• Creation of key content pages to be included on a mini-site on the portal for your College, including: -

468x60 Banner - £75 per calendar month
• Main banner (468x60) banner at the top of all of all pages on the portal, content supplied by provider in either JPG or flash format. Clicks through to either you portal mini-site or your own website.

600x120 Banner - £150 per calendar month
• Banner (600x120) placed in either all of the right or left columns on the portal, content supplied by provider in either JPG or flash format. Clicks through to either you portal mini-site or your own website.

Page Sponsorship - £175 per annum
• Sponsor any page on our portal for a year, which will then carry extensive adverts and hotlinks to your College.
